Benihana Sesame Chicken Recipe

Make our Benihana Sesame Chicken Recipe at home. With our Secret Restaurant Recipe your Sesame Chicken will taste just like Benihana.

Ingredients
  • 5 ounces boneless, skinless Chicken Breasts
  • Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Soybean Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • 2 Mushrooms, sliced into eight pieces
  • 1 teaspoon Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
  • Cooked Rice, to serve
  • Scallions, cut roughly, to garnish
Instructions
  1. Cut chicken breast into bite size pieces. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Add oil to a nonstick skillet. Place skillet over medium heat.
  3. When oil is hot and shimmering, place chicken in hot oil. Cook for about 8 minutes, or until chicken is white in appearance and firm to the touch.
  4. Sprinkle chicken breast, still in skillet, with lemon juice and sesame seeds. Stir to combine.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms and soy sauce to the skillet along with the soy sauce. Cook for an additional 2 - 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and the chicken is fully cooked.
  6. Remove the chicken and mushrooms from the skillet and serve hot over rice sprinkled with scallions.
